Timothy A. Dimoff, CPP, is president of SACS Consulting & Investigative Services, Inc., a high-risk HR and security consulting and investigation firm located in Akron, OH. Nationally-recognized as an expert in high-risk security and human resources, he is a sought-after consultant, speaker, media commentator and expert witness with more than 40 years of experience in law enforcement, corporate security and consulting.
Law Enforcement Expertise
Dimoff served as a detective in the Akron, Ohio Police Department and on a federal law enforcement task force. Highly esteemed for his service, he was named Ohio’s Top Police Officer (a State of Ohio Distinguished Law Enforcement Service Award) in 1989. In 1991, the International Narcotic Enforcement Officers Association awarded him an International Narcotics Special Award of Honor.
Following his impressive law enforcement career, Dimoff founded SACS Consulting & Investigative Services and the SACS Consulting Training Center. SACS provides services and training in the areas of human resources, management training, security, corporate investigations and high-risk workplace issues.
Security Expertise and Credentials
Dimoff is an internationally board Certified Protection Professional (CPP); a registered national security and human resources expert with the Technical Advisory Service for Attorneys (TASA); a member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS); a member of InfraGard, a joint professional organization between the FBI and security professionals to work collectively against crime, terrorism and to improve educational abilities and knowledge for the private sector; a member of The National Council of Investigation & Security Services (NCISS); a member of the Ohio Association of Security & Investigative Services (OASIS); and a nationally certified ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) training instructor.
Dimoff has provided security and consulting services to corporations, educational facilities, non-profit and social service organizations, houses of worship, and many other organizations. And he played an integral security role during the 2016 National Republican Convention in Cleveland, OH.

Dimoff is the author of several books, including the popular Life Rage. He has developed numerous corporate training programs concerning workplace violence, active shooter situations, sexual harassment, and self-defense. He has been featured in dozens of security-related articles for major newspapers and magazines. A sought-after public speaker, Dimoff has provided commentary for TV, radio, Internet and print media worldwide. For more than 25 years, Dimoff has served as a National Court Expert Witness throughout the United States for a wide range of security, law enforcement and employee issues for both defendants and plaintiffs.
Education
In addition to his extensive professional training, licensing and certifications, Dimoff holds a B.S. in Sociology, with an emphasis in criminology, from Dennison University.
